Born on 17th December 1954 in Czaplinek.

In 2000 graduated in administration from the Baltic Higher School of the Humanities in Koszalin.

Began work in 1974 at Zakład Obrotu Artykułami Przemysłu Lekkiego (apparel sales) in Koszalin (branch in Białogard). In later years worked among many other places at the Provincial Veterinary Institute (1986-1991) and at the Provincial Administration Office in Koszalin as immigration officer in the Citizenship Affairs Department (1991-1992).

Since 1990 was a local self-government activist as well as salaried employee. Between 1990 and 1994 was member of Białogard City Council, later (2002-2006) - of Białogard District Council. From 1998 to 2002 was deputy to Zachodniopomorskie Provincial Parliament, chairman of its Economy, Infrastructure and Environmental Protection Committee.

In 1998 was governor of Koszalińskie Province. Most recently, since 2006, was head of the Koszalin branch of the Provincial Employment Office in Szczecin.

Was member of the supervisory board of Miejskie Wodociągi i Kanalizacja Spółka z oo. (municipal water and sewer company)in Koszalin (2003), and in 2007 was employed at the Provincial Environmental Protection and Water Management Fund in Szczecin.

Between 1992 and 1998 - chairman of the Koszalin regional board of the Solidarity Trade Union in Koszalin.

Member of the Civic Platform Party of Poland and chairman of its Białogard district board.
