Born on 29th September 1953 in Skarżysko-Kamienna.
In 1977, graduated from the Medical Faculty at Medical University of Białystok.
Since 1977, worked at the healthcare complex in Skarżysko-Kamienna, successively as intern, assistant and then deputy head of the gynaecology and obstetrics department at the hospital in Skarżysko-Kamienna (1991-1997). 1979-1982 - director of the hospital emergency department. In 1989, won a competition for the post of director of the healthcare complex in Skarżysko-Kamienna, which he held until June 2005.
1990-1994 - member of Skarżysko-Kamienna Town Council's Board; 1998-2000 - member of municipal administration and member of Skarżysko District Council. 2002-2005 - deputy to Świętokrzyskie Provincial Parliament.
2003-2005 - deputy chairman of the Union of Healthcare Units Providing Employment in Świętokrzyskie Province. 1991-2005 - delegate of Świętokrzyskie Province Chamber of Physicians and Dentists and its spokesman for medical liability issues.
Chairman of the supervisory council of Daj szansę Foundation, which promotes gifted youths.
Member of the Solidarity Trade Union.
In the Sixth Term Senate was member of the Health Committee and the Emigration Affairs and Contacts with Poles Abroad Committee.
Was member of the Liberal Democratic Congress. Belongs to the Civic Platform Party of Poland.
Married, has three children.
