Born on 29th August 1957 in Wałbrzych.
A sociologist by profession, graduated from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Health at Wałbrzych Higher School of Management and Enterprise.
1978-1982, worked at Wałbrzyskie Przedsiębiorstwo Budowlane (a construction company). 1982-1986 - physical education teacher at an elementary school in Jugowice. Until 2002 ran his own business.
1984-1988 - member of Walim Commune Council. 2002-2005 - deputy mayor of the city of Wałbrzych responsible for economic development, promotion and acquisition of EU assistance funds.
Founder of "Zielone Wzgórze" Foundation in Wałbrzych, chairman of the board of the Polish Basketball Association and member of the board of "Górnik Wałbrzych" Basketball Club.
In the Sixth Term Senate was the Senate secretary, deputy chairman of the Science, Education and Sports Committee, member of the Emigration Affairs and Contacts with Poles Abroad Committee.
Married, has two children.
