Born on 15th March 1958 in Gniezno.

In 1986 graduated from the Faculty of Animal Breeding of the Agricultural University in Poznań. In 1987 completed post-graduate studies at the University School of Physical Education in Poznań with the title of Field & Track Coach 2nd Class.

Between 1987 and 1991 was a track & field coach at the Academic Sports Association Club in Poznań. Between 1992 and 2006 owned a wholesale and retail business and from 2004 to 2006 also worked in various trade and service companies.

From 2002 to 2006 was member of Gniezno City Council and in 2006-2007 was Gniezno district deputy administrator.

Member of the Civic Platform Party of Poland and chairman of its Gniezno district board.

Married, has two children.
