Born on 14th June 1952 in Tuligłowy (Podkarpackie Province).

In 1977, graduated from the Faculty of Nursing at the Medical University of Lublin. Completed Level 1 specialization in social medicine in 1984 and Level II specialization in healthcare organization in 1986 - both at the Post-Graduate Training Medical Centre in Warsaw. In 1986, obtained the degree of doctor of medical sciences (nursing). In 1991, completed the Post-Graduate Study Program in Health Economics at Warsaw University Faculty of Economy.

Between 1971 and 1973, worked at the Jaw Surgery Clinic of the State Clinical Hospital No. 1 in Krakow. 1977-1991 - head of the Provincial Centre for the Professional Development of Medical Personnel at the Unified Provincial Hospital in Ciechanów. 1991-1998 - director of the Provincial Centre of Healthcare Organization and Economics in Ciechanów. 1994-1998 - director of the Bureau of Ciechanów Health Consortium. Between 1998 and 2000, and in 2002 - director of the Ciechanów Branch of Mazowsze Province Public Health Centre. 2000-2002 - director of that Centre in Warsaw. 1996-2004 - deputy director, then director of the Institute of Health Education and Promotion in Ciechanów (a branch of the Pułtusk School of Humanities). 2002-2005 - academic teacher and director of the Health Protection Institute of State Higher Vocational School in Ciechanów. 1998-2005 - member of Ciechanów District Council.

Published several dozen scientific articles on nursing, health promotion and public health.

Member of several scientific societies and community organizations, such as the Polish Nursing Society and Ciechanów Health Consortium. Created the College of Community/Family Nurses and Midwives in Poland and was its first chairperson.

Between 2003 and 2005 chaired the "Tobacco or Health" Coalition.

In the Sixth Term Senate was deputy chairman of the Health Committee and member of the Science, Education and Sports Committee.

She was a member of the Law and Justice political party since 2004. Member of the party's Ciechanów District Board. Since 2005 member of party's political council, since 2006 member of party's regional board in Płock.

She was married, had a son.
