Born on 2nd January 1953 in Rząśnik Szlachecki (Mazowieckie Province).

In 1978 graduated from the Electrical Faculty of University of Technology in Łódź.

In 1978 apprenticed at Przedsiębiorstwo Budownictwa Komunalnego i Robót Wodno-Kanalizacyjnych in Piotrków Trybunalski; between 1978 and 1980 worked at the Provincial Housing Cooperative in that town. Since 1980 has been working at "Bełchatów" brown-coal mine in Rogowiec, initially as shift foreman, then as unit and section manager. Since 2006 - director of the mine's engineering and construction department.

In 1990-1992 was chairman of the mine's employee council.

In 2006-2007 was deputy to Łódzkie Provincial Parliament.

Member of the Law and Justice political party, member of its political council, deputy chairman of its district board in Piotrków Trybunalski.

Married, has three children.
