Born on 21st December 1952 in Częstochowa.

In 1975 graduated in administration and in 1976 in law from the Faculty of Law and Administration of Jagellonian University in Krakow. In 1979 completed the term of a judge's apprenticeship and legal adviser's apprenticeship, and in 1982 of an advocate's apprenticeship at the District Bar Council in Krakow.

Between 1976 and 1979 was a legal clerk at Wieliczka Town and Commune Administration Office. Between 1982 and 1993 worked as advocate in the Office of Advocates no. 1 in Krakow. Since 1993 runs a private legal practice in Krakow.

From 1990 to 1994 - member of Wieliczka Commune Council.

Chairman of the Association of Catholic Families in Krakow Archdiocese.

Has no political party affiliation.

Married, has two children.
