Born on 17th February 1952 in Międzyrzec Podlaski.

In 1975 graduated from the Physical Education Faulty of Warsaw Academy of Physical Education. In 1982 - obtained the doctoral degree from the academy; in 1999 - degree of Doctor Habilitated. Master class soccer trainer.

Since 1975 is an academic teacher in the Bielsko-Biała campus of Warsaw Academy of Physical Education. Since 2000 - professor and rector of the Higher Occupational State School in Biała Podlaska.

In 2006-2007 was deputy speaker of Lubelskie Provincial Parliament. Deputy chairman of the International Scientific Society of Sport Games and member of the International Association of Sport Kinetics.

In the Third Term Sejm was deputy chairman of the Physical Culture and Tourism Committee and member of the Education, Science and Youth Committee.

Member of the Civic Platform Party of Poland.

Married, has two children.
