Born on 14th January 1964 in Bydgoszcz.

W 1990, graduated in Polish philology from Warsaw University. In 2004, obtained the degree of Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Dominican University in Chicago.

1990-1991 - assistant at the Faculty of the Humanities of the Higher Pedagogical School in Bydgoszcz and journalist at the newly established Television Centre in that city. 1993-1994 - managed a TV show production company. 1996-1997 - editor in the Polish Television Centre in Bydgoszcz.

1994-1995 - Mayor of Bydgoszcz; 2002-2005 - member of Bydgoszcz City Council.

1997-2001 - Deputy to the Sejm. Member of the Sejm Foreign Affairs Committee and Internal Affairs and Administration Committee. Was also a member of the Sejm and Senate Permanent Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Western European Union and chaired the Team of Deputies for an Information Society.

Was a member of the Centre Alliance Party between 1990 and 1999 (and its spokesman since 1998), and, between 1999 and 2001, belonged to the Conference of Polish Christian Democrats and was its press officer. Member to the Law and Justice political party since 2002 and, since 2004, was a member of its Regional Board in Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province.

Married, has two children.
