Born on 3rd July 1946 in Goławiec (Silesian Province).
In 1972, graduated from the Faculty of Theology and, in 1974, from the Faculty of Humanities, at the Catholic University of Lublin (CUL).
1974-1976 - worked at the CUL Religious Literature Research Institute. 1976-1982 - editor of Gość Niedzielny weekly, published in Katowice. Then for ten years headed the religious department at Katolik weekly also in Katowice. Since 1993, edits the national Niedziela weekly, published in Częstochowa.
Wrote fifty socio-religious books in which he combined his interests in religion, literature and history. Published six books on the papal theme. Author of the so-called "Jasna Góra trilogy" - Przeor Kordecki, Opowieści jasnogórskie and Blizny.
Deputy to the Third Term Sejm: member of the Committee on the Family, Justice and Human Rights Committee, Culture and Media Committee, and Competition and Consumer Protection Committee.
No political party affiliation.
Married, has three children.
Mandate expired on 19th December 2005 as a result of the Supreme Court decision of 15th December 2005 to cancel elections in Częstochowa Electoral District because of defective ballot sheets. In the elections of 22nd January 2006 he was re-elected as a candidate of the same election committee.
