Born on 14th May 1951 in Włocławek.

In 1974, graduated from the Faculty of Law at "Mikołaj Kopernik" University in Toruń and, in 1977, from the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science at Warsaw University.

1978-2005 - journalist at weekly sports magazines Razem, Sportowiec and Mecz; after 1988, also TV sports commentator at Polsat Sport, Eurosport and Polish Public TV.

1997-2005 - spokesman of the Polish Olympic Committee and of the national team at four Olympic games.

1996-2004 - deputy chairman and then chairman of the Polish Golf Association, member of the European Golf Union. Chairman of the Association of Friends of the Town of Włocławek.

Married, has three children.
