Born on 7th June 1945 in Poznań.

In 1968, graduated from the Faculty of Law at "Adam Mickiewicz" University in Poznań.

After having completed articling to become a judge and an attorney, began to practice law (1974).

1991-1998 - dean of the Law Chamber in Szczecin; between 1991 and 2004 - member of the Chief Law Chamber. Member of the Polish Lawyer Association.

1978-1988 - chairman of the board of Zachodniopomoskie Province Automobile Association. 1988- 1999 - chairman of the board of the provincial branch of the Polish Motor Vehicle Association in Szczecin. 1995-1999 - deputy chairman of Pogoń Sports Club. Was chairman of the Szczecin provincial board of the Polish Competitive Bridge Union.

1994-1998 - deputy president of Szczecin City Council; 1995-1998 - deputy to Zachodniopomorskie Provincial Parliament.

Member of the Civic Platform political party and member of its Szczecin District Council.

Married, has four children.
