Born on 1st June 1961 in Myszków (Silesian Province).
1980-1985 - studied in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Krakow University of Technology. 1985-1990 - continued studies at Paderborn University and at RWTH (Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule) in Aachen. In 1990, obtained the degree of master of mechanical engineering from Krakow University of Technology.
1990-1995 - worked at the Boston Consulting Group in Düsseldorf and Zurich.
1995-2003 - as chairman of the board of directors of the PLUS store chain in Poland, built the chain from the ground up. 2003-2005 - chairman of the board of directors of TENG Company, a commercial real-estate agency.
Participates in operation of a family farm in Częstochowa District.
Social activist, promoter of regional culture. Initiator of the social movement Inicjatywa Laseckiego ("Lasecki's Initiative"), aimed at improving the standards of Polish politics. Funded the reconstruction of the historical parish church in Żuraw (Silesian Province).
Honorary president of the volunteer fire department in Żuraw. Member of the Polish Hunting Union, Association of Managers in Poland, Chamber of Industry and Trade, and Polish/German Chamber of Industry and Trade.
Has never been a member of a political party.
Married, has five children.
Mandate expired on 19th December 2005 as a result of the Supreme Court decision of 15th December 2005 to cancel elections in Częstochowa Electoral District because of defective ballot sheets. In the elections of 22nd January 2006 he was re-elected as a candidate of the same election committee.
