Born on 30th May 1950 in Lublin.

After completing Lublin Elementary School of Music, continued education at Lublin Secondary School of Music. Graduated from secondary school in 1969 and began law studies at "Marie Curie-Skłodowska" University. Did not complete law school.

The same year, established a rock-and-roll band - Budka Suflera - and recorded 25 albums with the band between 1974 and 2005. The band concerted in Poland and on all continents. As the band's lead singer, achieved artistic and commercial success.

Member of ZAiKS Association of Authors and Composers.

Married, has three children.
