Born on 29th December 1963 in Gorzów Wielkopolski.

In 1990, completed the Master's program course load (did not submit a graduation thesis) at the Faculty of Production and Trade Economics of the University of Economics in Poznań.

In 1990, created the "JDJ Bachalski" Capital Group based in Poznań, operating in educational services, horticulture and property development. Chairs its board of directors. Invented and co-founded Anglorama -- a magazine for people learning English (1997). In 2002, created the Bachalski Educational Foundation, which runs a program for the unemployed called "Education without Borders". The same year, started a give-away magazine promoting his native city - Tylko Gorzów.

Recipient of several prestigious awards for organizing foreign-language education.

In the Fourth Term Sejm, was member of the Education, Science and Youth Committee, Economy Committee and Legislative Committee. Was chairman of the Parliamentary Enterprise Team and deputy chairman of the Polish/British Parliamentary Group.

Since 2001 - chairman of the Civic Platform political party in Lubuskie Region.

Married, has three children.
