Born on 13th January 1951 in Koszalin.

In 1972, graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Higher School of Engineering in Koszalin. After graduation, worked as production engineer and designer at UNIMA Machinery and Production Equipment Plant in Koszalin. Then worked as designer at Construction Equipment Institute, manager of the instrumentation department at TEPRO Vacuum Technology Institute, production manager at GERPOL (a joint venture with Polish émigré capital) and department manager at ELEKTROMETAL Manufacturing Cooperative. 1985-1991 - chaired the infrastructure construction committee at TEPRO Housing Development, where he was responsible for the construction of water, power, gas and sewerage system installations. Since 1992, operates his own business - Pracownia Metalowa.

In August 1980, was member of employees' strike committee at the UNIMA plant and then chairman of the plant Solidarity Trade Union Committee. In 1981, became first chairman of the Pobrzeże Region Board of Solidarity. 1981-1982 was interned during martial law.

In 1989, helped to create and was deputy chairman of the Solidarity Civic Committee in Koszalin Province. In 1991, was chairman of the Provincial Security Service Personnel Vetting Commission.

1998-2002 - member of Koszalin City Council. Chairman of the "Marshal Józef Piłsudski" Association in Koszalin.

No political party affiliation.

Married, has two children.
