Born on 22nd April 1955 in Gdańsk.

In 1984, graduated from the Faculty of Nursing at Poznań University of Medical Sciences. In 1997, completed specialization in hospital and public health management at the Jagiellonian University Public Health Institute in Krakow. In 1998, completed post-graduate studies in the field of health and social insurance at the Higher Public Health School of the Institute of Occupational Medicine in Łódź. In 1997, completed the course Managers for the Reform of the Healthcare System in Poland, organized by the Project HOPE Poland Foundation at Jagiellonian University Collegium Medicum.

Worked her way up the ranks from station to head nurse at hospitals in Frombork, Bartoszyce and Elbląg. Taught the profession at the School of Nursing in Braniew. 1996-1998 - headed a section in the Health Department of Elbląg Provincial Administration. Since 1998 - general director of the Provincial Unified Hospital in Elbląg.

2002-2005 - member of Elbląg City Council.

1992-1993 - secretary of the Regional Chamber of Nurses and Midwives in Elbląg. Chairman of the Union of Hospitals Providing Employment in the Warmia and Mazury Region.

Was member of Stronnictwo Konserwatywno-Ludowe - a conservative/popular party. After its Elbląg section dissolved, joined the Civic Platform political party.

Single, has two children.
