Born on 14th September 1962 in Toruń.

German philologist by profession, in 1989 graduated from the Faculty of Neophilology at "Adam Mickiewicz" University in Poznań. 1990 - export manager at ARGENTUM jewellery company. 1990-1992 - managing director of AMIMEX export/import company. 1992-1994 - foreign relations adviser to the mayor of Płock. Since 1994 - chairman of the management board and managing director of Hoppenstedt Bonnier Information Polska Ltd. in Płock, an economic information company.

Member of Business Centre Club and Polish Managers' Association (was its deputy chairman and chairman in 2002).

In 1991, co-founded the Płock branch of Kongres Liberalno-Demokratyczny (Liberal Democratic Congress). In 1996, was member of the regional council of Unia Wolności (Freedom Union) party provincial board in Płock and member of the party's Mazowsze Province Coordination Committee. 1991-2001 - chairman of that party in Płock. 2001 - founding member of the Płock branch of the Civic Platform political party. 2002-2003 - chairman of the Civic Platform Płock District Board; since 2005 - chairman of the Civic Platform Group in Płock.

Married, has one child.
