Born on 20th February 1961 in Poznań.

1980-1986 - studied history (with a specialization in teaching) at the Faculty of History of "Adam Mickiewicz" University in Poznań. Was active at the university in the Independent Students' Association. Co-organized the student self-government at the university.

Could not find work until 1990 owing to his involvement in political opposition. 1990-1993 - history teacher at the Communication School Complex in Poznań. 1993-1999 on disability pension. In 1999, worked at the administrative and legal department of Gazeta Handlowa (a business newspaper) in Poznań. Subsequently managed the organization and legal department of the Wielkopolskie provincial branch of RUCH S.A. (a press distributor). 2000-2005 - worked in the Wielkopolskie provincial branch of the State Fund for the Rehabilitation of the Handicapped (branch deputy director between 2000 and 2002).

1994-2005 - member of Poznań City Council (2002-2005 - chairman).

Between 1978 and 1989, was a Catholic youth and then university student leader associated with the Dominican Order. Since 1991, member of the board of the Catholic Intelligentsia Club in Poznań (since 1999 - deputy chairman, since 2003 - chairman). From 2001 - member of the presidium of the council of Catholic Movements and Associations of Poznań Diocese.

(a political movement promoting conservative monarchy). 1988-1989 - founding member of Wielkopolski Klub Polityczny "Ład i Wolność" (a conservative movement in Wielkopolskie province). 1989-2001 - founding member of National Christian Alliance (1997-2000 - deputy chairman of its regional branch in Poznań). From 2001 - member of the district council and Wielkopolskie regional council of

political party. After that party was absorbed by the Law and Justice political party, became member of the latter (since 2002 - member of its political council).

Married, has four children.
